Recently, I had the absolute joy of spending a morning capturing a family friend from our church community group. They have four incredible kids, they homeschool, and their home is a living, breathing testament to love that doesn't sit still.

Here is a little glimpse into their beautiful, chaotic, and deeply intentional world.

The morning started like most of their days do with a mix of learning & play. In one corner, I watched the oldest daughter huddled close with her mom, tackling the milestone of long division before pivoting to piano practice. Having played the piano myself for 12 years growing up, watching her fingers trace the keys instantly flooded me with nostalgia.

Meanwhile, the boys were in their own element. Luke had his own hands-on lesson in measurements, which naturally transitioned into building an epic Lego universe on the playroom floor with his little brother, Levi. Just a few feet away, the youngest, Lakelynn was entirely lost in her own world, playing "mom" and putting puzzles together.

As a photographer, these are the moments I live for. No forcing smiles, no stiff posing. Just kids being kids, and parents creating a safe, loving space for them to grow.

Of course, no homeschool morning is complete without a little science, and a little mess!

The highlight of the morning was when everyone met at the kitchen table for a classic baking soda and vinegar volcano experiment. The anticipation on the kids' faces as the liquid began to fizz and bubble over was absolutely priceless. Eyes wide, laughter erupting louder than the volcano itself.

We finished the morning with lunch together around the kitchen island, like they do everyday.

When we look back at our lives, we don't just want to remember what we looked like in our Sunday best. We want to remember how our homes felt. To the Hubers family: thank you for opening your doors and your hearts to me. Thank you for showing me what community, patience, and unconditional love look like on a random Tuesday morning. You are building something truly beautiful.
