The Beholder is a full-service birth photography experience, but really, it’s about capturing the absolute wonder of how your family’s newest chapter begins.
Birth is beautiful, gritty, intense, and utterly magical. My goal isn’t just to take photos; it’s to hold space for you and document the raw, honest, and deeply emotional pieces of your journey. I'm talking about the quiet strength you find during intense waves, the way your partner looks at you with pure awe, that first breathless second of life, and the overwhelming relief when your baby is finally in your arms. Your birth story is a masterpiece, and you deserve to look back and see exactly how incredibly strong you were.

This experience is designed for parents who want to be completely, 100% present in the first moments of their baby's life.
We are likely a perfect match if:

- You want to look back & remember the real feeling of your day... the quiet pauses, the deep breaths, and the absolute magic of the moment you met your baby.
- You want your partner or support team completely present with you, holding your hand and living in the moment, rather than worrying about capturing it on a phone.
- You want a calm, reassuring friend/photographer in the room who knows exactly when to step back, blend into the background, and respect your sacred birth space.

The Beholder includes:
- meet & greet (in person, phone call or zoom call): we will go over all things birth, as well as the contract & payment options
- weekly check-ins: starting at 34 weeks
- on-call availability: starting at 36 weeks until your sweet baby makes their grand entrance
- active labor & birth coverage: I'll be right there with you from active labor (typically around 5–6cm) through the first 2 or so hours of postpartum.
- a first peek: a small selection of "sneak peek" images delivered within 24–48 hours so you can share your joy with the world
- your birth story gallery: a beautifully curated collection of hand-edited, high-resolution digital images delivered via a private online gallery.
- print release for images
- options to purchase prints, albums, frames & other printed goods
what are the next steps?
1.let's chat!
Because birth is so deeply intimate, it’s incredibly important that you feel completely safe and comfortable with me. It all starts with a casual, no-pressure chat. We can hop on a phone call, FaceTime, or grab a cup of coffee!
During our time together, we’ll dive into all things birth. We will talk about your vision for your delivery day, any specific wishes you have & how I can best support you in your labor & delivery room (or if you just want me to be a fly on the wall).
We’ll also walk through the fine print of the contract so you feel totally confident, and look over flexible payment options to find a plan that feels comfortable and stress-free for your growing family. It's the perfect chance to make sure we click before making anything official!
2.complete your booking
Once you decide we're a perfect match, we will make it official! You’ll sign your digital contract and submit your retainer fee to secure your spot on my calendar. Because I only take a very limited number of birth clients per month to guarantee my availability around your due date, this step officially locks me in as your photographer.
I will send over all the details to complete your booking, which includes:
- an invoice for the $450 nonrefundable retainer fee
- your contract
- an in-depth questionnaire that helps me get to know your family and birth history even more!
The remainder of your invoice will be due at the 34 week mark.*

3.Delivery day
When the big day finally arrives & labor kicks into gear, you or your partner will give me a heads-up. We will stay in close touch as your labor progresses, and I will quietly join you once you transition into active labor. (typically around 5-6 cm).
From the moment I arrive, I become a calm, reassuring, and respectful presence in your room. I work seamlessly alongside your medical team or doula, blending into the background so you can focus entirely on your body and your baby.
I'll be there to capture the whole story: from the hard work of labor, your partner holding your hand, to the first cries of your precious baby.
I’ll stay for about two hours after birth, documenting the first hour of skin-to-skin, baby's measurements, etc., until you move to your postpartum room.
4.Reliving your birth story
Once your baby is safely in your arms and I head home, the magic behind the scenes begins. I know how eagerly you’ll want to share your news and relive those first moments, so I will send a few beautiful "sneak peek" images your way within 24-48 hours after birth.
After that, I take my time hand-editing each image in your collection, focusing on preserving the raw emotion of your day. Within a few weeks, your entire story will be delivered via a private, high-resolution online gallery. From there, you can easily download, print, and share your photos, keeping these priceless memories safe for a lifetime.
